If you are installing an Upgrade version of DeskMan/2 version
2.0 over an existing DeskMan/2 version 1.x installation, do
NOT remove the existing DeskMan/2 files. Follow these
instructions:
- Open the OS/2 System Object settings notebook to the
Objects minor tab of the Extensions tab and confirm that
the Delete checkbox is clear.
- Insert Diskette #1 into your floppy drive.
- Run the Install program.
- The DeskMan/2 Installation program will first check your
computer and will only proceed if it detects existing DeskMan/2
version 1.x components.
- Be sure to use Custom installation and verify the file
locations in the installation program before clicking Install.
If you are installing a new copy, not an Upgrade version, of
DeskMan/2 version 2.0 over an existing DeskMan/2 1.x
installation or an existing sampler or demonstration version of
DeskMan/2 (either 1.x or 2.x):
- Use the currently installed Installation program to remove
all the installed DeskMan/2 components. Your DeskMan/2
configuration files will remain and be used by version 2.0.
- Use the version 2.0 Install program to install the new components.
- Be sure to use Custom installation and verify the file
locations in the Installation program before clicking Install.
