If selected workstations share a common hardware/software configuration, the administrator can use the DeskMan/2 Configuration Image Facility to restore the entire computer environment on bootup from the file server. To do this, include this statement in each workstation's CONFIG.SYS file:
CALL={pathspec}DM2Image -r {pathspec}imagename
where imagename is the name of the repository to be restored.
If the hardware and software configurations are not identical, the administrator can use the DeskMan/2 Object Manager to update the desktop objects from a common archive. To standardize objects on each workstation, issue commands to Recreate Object - Replace if exists.
